Dr. Mark Postma

Dr. Mark Postma, internist-endocrinoloog, UMCG

Mark Postma completed his training as an internist-endocrinologist in December 2023 and has since been working as a staff member at UMCG. On October 9, 2024, he earned his PhD cum laude with his dissertation titled “Improving treatment decisions in acromegaly and adult-onset growth hormone deficiency,” preceded by a symposium featuring presentations from various leading (inter)national speakers. In 2017, he received the Pfizer ASPIRE Young Investigator Research Award in Endocrinology, and in 2021 he served as the chair of the Young Dutch Society for Endocrinology (JNVE). His research focuses on precision medicine in the treatment and follow-up of pituitary tumors. Additionally, he supervises several students and chairs the multidisciplinary team for pituitary cases. Mark lives in Groningen with his wife Betül and their son Leonard.
