Prof. dr. Lars Grøntved
University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark
Lars Grøntved is a molecular biologist with primary interest in hormone regulated gene expression and chromatin remodelling. He obtained a PhD in 2008 from the University of Southern Denmark and did postdoctoral training with Gordon Hager at the National institutes of health in Bethesda, US. In 2014 he joined the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Southern Denmark as junior group leader and was promoted to associate professor in 2018. His research group uses genomics technology and mouse genetics to understand how hepatic chromatin organization is regulated by circadian endocrine signalling, the cellular microenvironments of the liver and the nutritional status of the organism.
