Jan Tuckermann Institute of Comparative Endocrinology, Ulm University, Ulm, Germany Jan Tuckermann has completed his Ph.D from Karlsruhe University, Germany in 1999 and performed postdoctoral studies in the German Cancer Research Centre, Heidelberg, Germany until 2003. After being Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute of Age Research-Fritz Lipmann Institute, Jena, Germany, he became 2012 a full professor and director of the Institute of Comparative Molecular Endocrinology at University of Ulm, Germany. He served as Dean of Biological Studies (Ulm University) and currently as the president of the German Society of Endocrinology (DGE). His research addresses cell type specific actions of steroid receptors in bone biology and immunometabolism in health, disease and aging.
