Dr. Grégory Fettweis

Dr. Grégory Fettweis, University of Liège, Belgium

Grégory Fettweis holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Liège, Belgium. In 2017, he joined the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression led by Dr. Gordon Hager at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda for postdoctoral training. During this time, he studied the influence of the nuclear environment and chromatin organization on the dynamics and biology of nuclear receptors. In 2022, Dr. Fettweis returned to Liège and joined the Laboratory of Gene Expression and Cancer, led by Pr. Franck Dequiedt. He is now investigating the interplay between transcription factors and the cohesin complex machinery to regulate target gene expression.
