Dr. Christa van Bunderen

Christa C. van Bunderen is endocrinologist at the Radboudumc. As semi-young professional she combined research with clinical training, and she graduated as PhD in 2016 and as MD in 2020 at the Amsterdam UMC/VUmc. Her research line entailed the long-term efficacy and safety of Growth Hormone replacement therapy in adults. Next to enduring her expertise on GH therapy, she is currently active as clinician, researcher and teacher in transgender healthcare at the Radboudumc center of Expertise for Sex and Gender. Her experience and network in the field of transgender healthcare made her a key player in establishing this new care within the Radboudumc. Since 2020 they have seen over 400 adolescents and since 2021 over 500 adult patients seeking gender-affirming care at their flourishing full-facility center. She is board member of the gonadal network of the Dutch Endocrine Society.
