Dr. Boudewijn Bakker, Chair GH Advisory board, NVK

Boudewijn Bakker combined his training in pediatrics and PhD training in Leiden on a grant from the Dutch Research Counsel (NWO). There, he received his training as a pediatric endocrinologist by Prof. Jan Maarten Wit. During his fellowship he finished his PhD thesis on growth and endocrine effects of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In 2007 he started as a pediatric endocrinologist in the Reinier de Graaf Hospital in Delft. Since 2018 he is working as a pediatric endocrinologist in the Wilhelmina’s Children’s Hospital and the Prinses Máxima Center for pediatric oncology in Utrecht, where he is involved in research in endocrine effects of neuro-oncological conditions. He is also president of the Dutch Growth Hormone Advisory board.
