Prof. dr. Anne Cappola

Anne Cappola, MD, ScM is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the Executive Director of the Penn Medical Communication Research Institute. Dr. Cappola is a clinical investigator whose NIH-funded research is focused on alterations in thyroid function that occur with aging and the clinical impact of these changes. In addition, Dr. Cappola serves as an Associate Editor for JAMA. Dr. Cappola has received the Abbott Thyroid Research Mentor Award from the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association’s Van Meter and Valerie A. Galton awards, and the American Statistical Association Outstanding Statistical Application Award.
