Martijn Brouwers has been a professor in Endocrinology and Metabolic Disease and head of the division Endocrinology and Metabolic Disease at Maastricht UMC+. His translational research line focuses on the causes and cardiometabolic consequences of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, with special focus on fructose metabolism.
