Dr. Niek Dirks

NorthWest Clinics, Amsterdam

Niek Dirks obtained his PhD in 2019 with Annemieke Heijboer, Mariëtte Ackermans and Robert de Jonge at the Endocrine Laboratory of the Amsterdam UMC. He worked on LC-MS/MS methods for determining vitamin D metabolites and related hormones. He then started a residency in clinical chemistry at the Northwest Clinics and Atalmedial. During the final months of this residency, he studied the robustness and accuracy of TSH and FT4 reference intervals together with their age-dependency at the Endocrine Laboratory of the Amsterdam UMC. He is recently registered as a clinical chemist and currently works at the NorthWest Clinics.
