Dr. Wouter Zandee, UMCG

Dr. Wouter Zandee is an endocrinologist with a strong focus on endocrine oncology. He combined a fellowship in endocrinology and a PhD at the Erasmus MC studying biomarkers and treatments of neuroendocrine tumors, especially peptide receptor nuclide therapy (PRRT). 

Since 2020 he works at the UMC Groningen where he has a leading role in the expert centers for thyroid cancer, neuroendocrine tumors and hereditary endocrine tumor syndromes (VHL/MEN). His clinical research mainly focuses on the improvement of thyroid cancer care,  especially side effects of treatments with a focus on pathophysiology, quality of life and long-term effects. He is a member of the NVE Thyroid Network and the Dutch Thyroid Cancer Guideline Committee.
